The Asian Business Association (ABA) stands in unity and solidarity with the African American community in light of the recent events. We strongly condemn racism.
It is the time we stand up for each other by joining or contributing resources to organizations that advocate for the black community, people of color, anti-racism, and an equitable society, and by promoting open dialogue within our own circles about racism, biases, and activism.
ABA will continue to work with our leaders, board directors and advisory council alongside business leaders in the black chambers to work together to build a truly inclusive, democratic economy and society.
The Asian Business Association of Los Angeles, Inc. is the premiere non-profit organization that serves the needs of Asian Pacific Islander business owners and professionals. ABA has been proactively assisting these businesses gain access to economic opportunities and advancement since 1976. ABA has an active membership base of over 750, and offers programs to help these businesses grow.
What can individuals do?
ABA encourages all of us to lend our support to the Minnesota led coalition of AAPI organizations who are organizing support for George Floyd. Enclosed below is a link to the finalized letter and the invitation to individuals and groups outside of MN to show solidarity with those in Minnesota. Please distribute this widely. https://caalmn.org/api4georgefloyd
