Mr. Wong is a consultant with more than 30 years of professional engineering and small minority business development experience. He is currently performing consulting services on private development and city engineering services to municipalities for W2 Design Inc. in managing land development projects and plan checking process.

He has served on numerous minority advisory councils that establish guidelines and outreach methodologies to enhance goals in procurement for small, minority, and disadvantage business in the past ten years.

  • California Department of Corrections
  • Southern California Gas Company
  • Southern California Air Quality Management District

While serving on numerous advisory councils in developing guidelines and procedures, he established a small 2-person consulting firm in 1983 and grew the company to a 100-person firm in 1991 with gross annual revenue varying from $100,000.00 to $10,000,000.00 respectively. He has detail knowledge and hands-on experience of both good and difficult times of small and minority business outreach efforts.

He also takes an active role in community interest programs, and especially promoting small business procurement in the Asian Community thru the Asian Business Association and the Asian American Architects & Engineers. In 1992, Mr. Wong was awarded the United States Small Business Administration’s Lifetime Achievement Award for his work in the community.
