Jennet Chow is the Founder and Co-CEO of Evolution Design Lab and Jellypop Shoes. She is a second generation Taiwanese-American native to Southern California, and her story embodies the “American Dream” of grit, determination and innovation. She was most recently named one of Inc. 2021 Female Founders 100.

Jennet’s parents first immigrated to the U.S. with little to nothing. Her mom started off working as a waitress and her dad as a busboy, and to make ends meet they started importing shoes to sell at local swap meets in LA. As a child Jennet would be at the swap meets with her parents every weekend as early as 4 AM, helping to set up and sell shoes. Through this she developed an interest in fashion, business, and design as well as a deep understanding of the sacrifice and dogged persistence it takes to succeed in the industry. 

Jennet went on to start Evolution Design Lab in 2009, a multimillion-dollar tech focused company that manages the entire supply chain of shoe manufacturing from design all the way to production using their novel software StyleManager and Segovia and safe and ethical factories. Jennet also created Jellypop Shoes, a multimillion-dollar shoe brand focused on creating comfortable, stylish, and affordable vegan shoes that women and girls of all ages can enjoy.

Because of her humble beginnings, Jennet is passionate about empowering women, making style accessible, and giving back to the community. She acts on it through donating shoes, mentoring other women, working to increase diversity in the footwear industry, and championing the AAPI community.
